So you decided to get cigars for your wedding – great choice! Whether you’ve gone for a cigar bar so guests can help themselves, a group package for the groom/bridal party or just individual cigars for a select few, there are some basics to get right.
Our packages are designed to be selected based on the strength of the cigar and time you have to enjoy it. When you consider that most people may be smoking a cigar for the first time, it’s better to go for a milder cigar (without compromising on quality).
Once you’ve selected your cigar, step 1 is to start by cutting the cigar correctly. Only the very tip of the cap should be removed, allowing airflow without damaging the structure. A clean cut makes all the difference.
If you’re doing this for the first time, check out our guides on how to cut, light and smoke cigars:https://www.weddingcigars.co.uk/how-to-cut/

Lighting is equally important. The cigar should be gently toasted before taking slow, steady draws to get an even burn. Rushing this step can affect the flavour and enjoyment.
Once lit, cigars are meant to be smoked slowly. Unlike cigarettes, cigars should not be inhaled. Instead, savour the flavour and aroma, taking relaxed puffs every minute or so.
There is no pressure to finish a cigar. Guests can enjoy it for as long as they like and simply let it go out naturally when they’re done. This relaxed approach makes cigars an enjoyable addition to the celebration rather than a commitment.
